Putnam County Schools 2024-25 School Calendar Revision

CALENDAR TO DATE

  • PCS has used the five provided inclement weather days that are not required to be made up. 

  • PCS has used one of the six OS days provided; November 29, 2024, was an OS day. 

  • The calendar will continue to be adjusted for additional inclement weather closings.  

  • PCS has five OS days remaining.

  • PCS last day for students if no additional inclement weather days is June 3, 2025. This is an early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

  • PCS last day for employees if no additional inclement weather days is currently June 10, 2025.  If additional OS days are not used, June 10, 2025, will be adjusted for the Prep Day to occur on June 4, 2025.

If additional Inclement weather days occur: 

The first adjustment will be the change of an OS Day to an Instructional Day.  This will not extend the calendar for students. 

  • Students will report to school on February 17, 2025, for a full instructional day. 

  • This will utilize the second of six OS days.    

  • Last Day for Students is June 3, 2025.  This is an early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

The second adjustment will result in moving the Professional Learning Day from February 28, 2025, to June 4, 2025.  This will not extend the calendar for students. 

  • Students will report to school on February 28, 2025, for a full instructional day.

  • This will utilize the third of six OS days listed on the calendar. 

  • Last Day for Students is June 3, 2025.  This is an early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

  • June 4, 2025, is a Professional Learning Day.

  • June 5, 2025, is an OS Day.  The Prep Day would be adjusted to June 5, 2025. 

The third adjustment will result in moving the Professional Learning Day from March 3, 2025, to June 5, 2025.  This will not extend the calendar for students. 

  • Students will report to school on March 3, 2025, for a full instructional day.

  • This will utilize the fourth of six OS days. 

  • Last Day for Students is June 3, 2025. This is an early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

  • June 4 and 5, 2025, are Professional Learning Days.

  • June 6, 2025, is an OS Day.  The Prep Day would be adjusted to June 6, 2025.

The fourth adjustment will result in extending the calendar for students to June 4, 2025. 

  • Students will report to school on June 3, 2025.

  • Students will report to school on June 4, 2025.  This is early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

  • June 5 and 6, 2025, are Professional Learning Days.

  • June 9, 2025, is an OS Day.  The Prep Day would be adjusted to June 9, 2025. 

The fifth adjustment will result in extending the instructional year for students to June 5, 2025, for students. 

  • Students will report to school on June 3, 2025.

  • Students will report to school on June 4, 2025. 

  • Students will report to school on June 5, 2025.  This is an early dismissal day for Faculty Senate. 

  • June 6 and 9, 2025, are Professional Learning Days.

  • June 10, 2025, is the closing of schools Prep Day.
