In addition, Poca Seniors Jackson Toney and Isaac McNeely were named WVSSAC All-Tournament for Boys Class AA, and PHS walked away with the WVSSAC School Spirt Award! This past weekend DECA students from Hurricane, Poca, and Winfield High School competed at the WV DECA Career Development Conference! The Career Development Conference is a 2-day conference held in Charleston, WV, featuring motivational speakers, competency-based competitive events, and state officer elections. 🎶 2022 WV Music Teacher of the Year! 🎶 This past weekend Conner Street Elementary Music Teacher, Rebecca Harrison, was awarded WVMEA's Music Teacher of the Year! Ms. Harrison is a phenomenal teacher dedicated to each student. She consistently writes grants for her music program and goes out of her way to provide instruments in the hands of her students. Both HHS and WHS Cheer were recognized at the capitol yesterday for their participation in the National Cheerleading Competition last month!
