Be a Buddy Not a Bully Clipart

BULLYING  is defined as “any intentional and repeated word, look, sign, or act that hurts a person’s body, feelings, or things.” Bullying is a serious problem that can have long lasting effects on the victim. If you suspect bullying, encourage your child to try the following techniques for dealing with the bully:

1. Tell the bully to STOP.

2. IGNORE the bully.

3. WALK AWAY from the bully and the situation.

4. TALK about his/her feelings with someone he/she trusts.

5. REPORT the bullying to an adult.

Please contact the school administrator or counselor with any concerns you have regarding bullying. Together we can make our schools a safe environment for all students.
