Putnam County Schools announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.  The FREE Summer Meals Program will start next week on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.  The 5-day meal boxes will be provided and offered to all Putnam County students who would like to participate, ages 18 years and under, by parent pickup only.  This will be a continuation of the meal services that the county has been providing for families since April 2020.  The meal boxes allow families to pick up a week’s worth of meals once a week, every Wednesday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the following locations/sites:

  • Hurricane High School
  • GW Middle School
  • Poca Middle School
  • Confidence Elementary
  • Scott Depot Park & Ride (located beside of Sheetz)

For more information about the Summer Food Service Program, please contact the Putnam County Schools Child Nutrition Office at 304-586-0500.

Parents may also text the word “food” to 877-877, this will prompt the user to type a zip code and it generates all of the feeding sites that are around their community.
